Studio 337 is a private Georgian first floor in Angel with double-height, south-facing sash windows. It is hired by the hour, from £75.
There is no lighting rig, and that is deliberate — this is a natural-light room. Direct sun crosses the floor through the middle of the day, and blackout blinds bring it down when you want control. The whole floor is yours for the length of the booking: no shared space, no studio manager, no queue for the changing area.
The windows face south and run close to floor-to-ceiling, so the room holds usable daylight through most of the day rather than for a narrow window.
Direct sun moves across the floor roughly between late morning and mid-afternoon in summer, earlier and lower in winter. If you need hard light and shadow, book the middle of the day. If you want soft and even, book the edges.
No strobes, no modifiers, no stands are provided. Photographers who need a blacked-out box with a lighting grid will be happier somewhere else, and we would rather say so here than have you find out on the day.
Power is ordinary domestic sockets around the room. Blackout blinds are fitted if you are mixing in your own light or killing the daylight entirely.
Crystal chandeliers, original cornicing, a fireplace and oak floorboards — a Georgian drawing room rather than a white cyclorama.
There is a separate treatment and changing area at the far end, so your subject is not getting dressed behind a backdrop.
Natural-light portrait and headshot work, editorial and fashion, brand and product shoots, UGC and creator content.
Up to eight people on the standard rate. Paid campaigns, brand films and agency crews go on the commercial rate, which covers up to fifteen.
