Studio 337 is a private Georgian first floor in Angel, Islington, hired by the hour for headshots and portrait sessions. One hour is £65.
Tall south-facing sash windows give soft, directional light that suits faces, and blackout blinds let you shape it. It is a furnished Georgian room rather than a white box, so you can shoot clean against a plain wall or use the fireplace, mirror and cornicing as a setting. Lighting and backdrops are not provided; bring what you need.
The windows face south and run close to floor-to-ceiling. Place your sitter side-on to them for shape, or facing them for an even, flattering light.
Book the middle of the day for brighter, harder light and the edges of the day for softer.
There are pale plain walls for a classic corporate headshot, and a marble fireplace, gilt mirror and sofa when the brief is more editorial.
No paper backdrops or stands are supplied. There is floor space to put up your own.
Photographers hire the room for back-to-back client sessions. Five hours is £300 and a ten-hour day is £600, both at £60 an hour.
Clients can wait on the sofa and change in the separate treatment and changing area.
Angel tube is eight minutes on foot and Old Street nine. There is a lift to the first floor.
You share the door code with your clients, so nobody needs meeting at the street.
Headshots and portraits are standard rate: £65 an hour for up to eight people in the room.
A shoot for a paying brand with an agency or production crew goes on the commercial rate at £100 an hour.
Cancel free up to 48 hours before and you are refunded in full. Inside 48 hours the fee is non-refundable, but we will move you once if something falls through.
Viewings are free and take ten minutes. Email and we will find a gap.

The rate is the same every day, weekends included. Overnight prop hold is £125 if you need to leave a set standing.
